INFORMATION
TRANSPORTATION:
Is organised quite well within the city and to the
other provinces by highway and railway facilities. The good
qualite of highway connects Karaman to all corners of the country
with a large network of private bus companies carrying passengers
to or from Karaman day and night. In Urban transportation the
city buses, minibuses and taxis are available for all over the
city and suburbs.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Nas hotel is two stars and Kale restaurant are Hcened
by the ministry of tourism. Also KOLMUSAN Opet and Akdem
restaurants are very clean and cheap. There are other clean and
cheap hotels and restaurants licence by the municipality in
Karaman.
CULTURAL
TREASURES: This area is very rich with its cultural
treasures. Many different samples of traditional crafts can be
seen. Taşkale carpet is well known. more than 40 traditional
motives and designs survived in the regional carpentry
traditional crafts and costumes have survived to an extent rarely
found in Turkey today.

PERSONS: Karamanoglu Mehmet Bey (who is a person
declared Turkish language), Yunus Emre (public poet). Kazim
Karabekir (Marshal). Mumine Hatun (Mevlana's mother), and the
others.
